The upcoming Auto Expo is all set to witness a plethora of brand new launches and Hyundai is obviously about to set the mark high for the others. The brand will be exhibiting a wide range of cars which will also include the concept of electrically powered vehicles along with the new generation of mini cars. Santro and i20 will be launched in a revamped way. The prices for the same will be announced in the Auto Expo 2018.
The Hyundai i20 facelift will be introducing a range of the latest features along with some styling upgrades. The present design philosophy of the brand will be reflected in this new model of i20. Hence, the front grille will be altered and will look like the cascading grille of Hyundai Xcent but it will follow the pattern of honeycomb rather the horizontal chrome salts.
The headlight cluster will be updated as well and will be introducing LED DRL or daytime running light. The bumper will also be introduced with large spaces for the horizontal fog lamps and an additional set of DRLs.
The interior will also be changed with redesigned upholstery and dashboard with touch-screen system of infotainment. This system will be equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
However, it has not changed any mechanical parts of the vehicle and is expected to have the petrol engine with 82 bhp, of 1.2 liter capacity. It is amalgamated with 5-speed unit with manual operation. The 89 bhp engine with 1.4 liter capacity is paired with manual gearbox with 6-speed. Along with these, the 99 bhp petrol engine with 1.4 liter dual VTVT is conjugated with a torque that that has automatic converter of 4 speed.
The car, like the previous models will compete with competition to the rivals like Honda Jazz, Baleno from Maruti Suzuki as well as Volkswagen Polo.
