With a gunshot on his right temple, a hockey player of national level was found dead in his car. He was found dead in the car near his friend’s house who is apparently a female in South Delhi, the Delhi Police said.
The 22-year-old Rizwan Khan resides in Subhas Nagar was a second-year student at Jamia MilliaIsalmia.
At about 10:30 am, he was found dead by his family inside his own parked car at Sarojini Nagar market, the police stated. On Monday afternoon, Rizwan had left his house with 2 Lakh rupees as he was going to buy a bike, but he did not come back home till late night, even his cell phone was switched off because of which no one could reach out to him, said the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Sharif Khan, Rizwan’s father said, Rizwan’s friend’s cousin sister and her father told him on the phone that Rizwan handed over his mobile and a bag, which had 2 Lakh rupees, and drove off from their residence on Monday.
At Sarojini Nagar, Rizwan’s father and his other family members reached the address and found his body there. In Rizwan’s hand, a country-made pistol was found and he was sitting in the driver seat. “It appears to be a case of suicide, clearly. Although the forensic team has collected the samples, no suicide note was found on the spot.
Hope the police is successful to solve the case find whether Rizwan has actually committed a suicide or was he murdered for 2 Lakh rupees.
