The last stop of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seemed to be quite pleasant as he spent some quality time with top Bollywood actors. He had spent 5 days in India to sign some important deals and seal some contracts, and was welcomed warmly by the Bollywood.
As a mark of friendship the Prime Minister asked for a selfie and none other than Amitabh Bachchan took the responsibility to take a groupie for him. This snap is just not a memory as per the PM but a symbol of the phenomena friendship between the two countries which every Indian and Israeli should be aware of. He made some witty comments, which made everyone in the room smile, and at the end said, he wants a selfies just like superstars take at the Oscar ceremony. He wishes that this selfie reaches hundreds and millions of people around the world.
Amitabh Bachchan used a selfie stick to capture the moment and just after few minutes the Prime Minister uploaded the picture on Twitter. Besides Amitabh Bachchan, the selfie has Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Randhir Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Madhur Bhandarkar, Nikhkhil Advani, Abhisekh Kapoor and Subash Ghai.
The event where the picture was taken was named as Shalom Bollywood and was aimed to get more locations in Israel to shoot films. Amitabh Bachchan took the opportunity to inform that the Indian film industry produces more than 1,500 films every year; which is 4 times that of Hollywood and 2 times that of Bollywood.
The Prime Minister was also very knowledgeable in regards to Bollywood as he went ahead to inform that Amitabh Bachchan has 30 million more followers than he has. He pitched Israel as a film destination not only for its scenic beauty but also for its high-end technology and big business ideas.
