After Bitter War of Words, PM Modi and Manmohan Singh Shake Hands

Today, Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister, and Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minister, greeted each other with folded hands when they came in front of each other at an event to remember and mourn the anniversary of the attack on Parliament back in 2001.

Both the leaders met each other outside the parliament before entering the Parliament to pay their tribute to the nine officers killed in the attack back then.

Amidst the huge controversy of PM Modi’s allegations, which at a dinner meeting where former prime minister Mr. Manmohan Singh was present, the leader of Congress party was discussing the elections in Gujarat with guests of Pakistan. With this, PM Modi was hinting that Pakistan was trying to influence the election results. The meeting between the former and the current Prime Minister took place.

In Gujarat at an election rally, PM Modi’s comment provoked to a crime on Congress’s party, but Congress slammed all the charges against them.

Mr. Manmohan Singh gave the sharpest answer. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi must apologize in front of the entire nation for all the lies and rumors he had spread against Congress.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen at the event after a harsh campaign in Gujarat. He was also seen greeting BJP leaders there at the event.

All set to take charge of the Congress party, the 47-year-old Rahul Gandhi on Saturday was seen shaking hands warmly with union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
